Cf. the photo from Sunday 14 June 2026, 21:02:28, when there was only a partial reflection.

We went down for breakfast (ca. 08:30). I had cornflakes, orange juice, bacon, sausage and baked beans, and coffee. We returned to the room (ca. 09:10)… There was a call on my phone from Louie (09:18): he was near Manchester, there’d been an accident resulting in closure of a section of the motorway, and according to his satnav it would be 1hr 40min till he would arrive.…
There was a further call from Louie (09:54), to say that he expected to be there at 10:30. Janet had finished packing the suitcase and another, smaller travel bag; we vacated the room; got the lift down; I handed the two key-cards in at reception; and shortly before 10:30 Louie did, in fact, arrive.
We set off (10:30). There was a diversion along the A666 in the outskirts of Bolton, before we rejoined the M60. We had a comfort stop at the Hartshead Moor services (I sat, 12:08) — the eastbound one looked very much like the westbound one — where Janet bought for me a “Cheddar Ploughman’s” from W. H. Smith. She produced one of the bottles of water that had been supplied in our room on the first day.

We made our way back to the car (12:31), and a little less than 1½ hours later arrived home (13:55).…
