Born in the Parish of Merriott near the Town of Crewkerne in the County of Somerset. Enlisted at Crewkerne on 13 Nov /76 for Cold Guards at the Age of 18¹⁰⁄₁₂ years. He is Passed to the Army Reserve in consequence of the completion of his army Service. Service Abroad: Nil years. Medals: Nil. He has served 6 years 100 days, of which 6 years 100 days reckon towards Pension. His conduct and character while with the Colors [sic] have been Very Good. Marks or Scars, whether on face, or other parts of the body: Scar over each Knee. Intended place of residence: 1 Cheek Street, Ordsall Lane, Salford, Manchester. Discharged the Service at London this 14th day of November 1888. |
