The diary-entry for today is as follows:

Got up
late. Went Aud’s morning. Had
to go to Preston to get mack
I’d left there! Didn’t find it.
Gave out tracts—night.
(Rather) depressed today!
I had left my mackintosh behind at the Preston Convention venue, and although I felt too shy to go and enquire about it, parental pressure was put on me to do so. I probably reacted to this in a “temperamental” way, which led to my feeling rather depressed. Anyway, I DID summon the courage to enquire at the office in Preston, but the raincoat had not been handed in.

Chris posted a letter to me today that he had written yesterday.
