Barbara: See Chris’s comment on Holiday in Scarborough — Day One. In it, he says, “Barbara came to visit me in Thornton.” Evidently, he also visited her in Broadbottom, for Ellen Dyson wrote, “I told Chris…”
I either didn’t write back to Ellen Dyson, or I did once and Audrey disapproved. I was really shocked and shaken nearly four years later to read in a Sunday newspaper that she had been killed.
