The diary-entry for today is as follows:

Talked to Jones—said he would
pray for salvation. Didn’t
do games, went in study.
Went tracking—some went
Piers—others sticking tracts through
doors—not v. satisfying.

Piers: Perhaps this is just Pier, badly written. Fleetwood only had one pier.
