At the top of the page for 20–22 January there is a note—

MATHS

—presumably some sort of revision-plan prior to the exams. The diary-entry proper for today is as follows:

“Jehovah’s witnesses”
came morning.
Did not get anywhere. Les
Smith there & he challenged
them at end. Went tracking
a bit in Thornton in after-
noon. Testimony meeting
at night—good!

“Jehovah’s witnesses” came morning. [We] did not get anywhere: A man called Tony was one of the JWs who participated in this seemingly fruitless discussion; see Saturday 29th January 1966.
